Frequently Asked Questions
What are flower essences?
Flower Essences contain the energetic imprint or vibrational pattern of a particular flower, and are typically used for their emotional and spiritual healing properties. Each flower possesses its own distinct qualities.
How do you take flower essences?
I typically recommend taking three drops, three times a day under your tongue unless indicated otherwise. They can also be applied topically, added to baths, and put into spritzer bottles. The frequency of how often you take them is very important. If you have a difficult time implementing them into your routine, I often recommend setting them on your bedside table within view and taking seven drops in the morning and seven drops at night.
Will i notice any differences?
Every flower and person are different. Sometimes the affect is very subtle while sometimes it can bring deeper emotions to the surface to be released. This can feel intense, and things can oftentimes seem worse for a few days before they get better. My intention is to hold space for you while you navigate this important healing work.
How long will it take to work?
Every person is different. Most people notice a shift within 2-6 weeks. Sometimes it takes several months if the pattern is more engrained.
Are flower essences a new healing modality?
From Ancient Egypt to modern times, Flower Essences have been used for thousands of years. Indigenous healers from all over the world have long understood the profound spiritual importance of flowers and plants.
In the 12th century, Hildegard Von Bingen, a Benedictine abbess, writer, and herbalist, explored the healing abilities of nature. She would cover flowers with muslin cloths and collect the dew in the morning, which she then utilized to treat people.
Later in the 1930s, Dr. Edward Bach, an English physician, gained a greater understanding of flower essences and their various applications. This led to the creation of the 38 Bach flower remedies, which are still widely used today.
The inspiring work of Dr. Bach has led many to study the healing qualities of flowers as the field continues to evolve.
How are flower essences made?
Flower Essences are created by transferring the energetic imprint of the flowers to water, using solar or lunar infusion. No physical part of the flower is used, only its healing vibration.
How do they work?
Flower essences function on a vibrational level, entering into the meridians, or energy channels to create more balance and equilibrium. Whether taken internally or applied externally, these remedies are completely safe and suitable for everyone, including children and animals. Flower essences work well alongside other natural healing modalities. Taking them consistently is very important. Think of them as your plant ally always by your side and with you on your healing journey.
Are flower essences the same as essential oils?
It is important to note that flower essences are not the same as essential oils or herbal remedies. They do not contain physical or chemical properties of the plant, but rather the subtle energetic qualities of the flower. They are also without scent other than the liquid used to preserve the essence which is typically brandy or vegetable glycerine. Flower essences are safe for ingestion, whereas essential oils are not recommended for consumption and are more commonly used topically or through inhalation.

No. Flower Essences do not interfere with medications or other supplements. If you are using homeopathic remedies please consult with your provider as both modalities work on a vibrational levels and they may interfere with each other.
